Week 1 & 2
Week 1 : Introduction of BIM technology, User Interface, Ribbons & Basic concepts, Unit setup, Create wall, Wall types & properties, Edit profile, Creating views, Levels, Grids, Insert doors and Windows.
Week 2: Create curtain wall (Storefront) – Insert door, Windows. Create floor – Edit boundary; Create Ceiling, Wall sweep and Reveal; Create Roof – Foot print, Extrusion, soffit, Fascia, Gutter.
Week 3 & 4
Week 3 : Structural columns, Framing, Beam system, Foundation walls, Footings and Bracings, Different categories of Modify:
- Modify – move, Rotate, Copy, Mirror and Scale.
- Modify – Offset, Trim, Extend, Pin and Unpin.
- Modify – Array and Split Element with gap.
Week 4 : Create stairs, Create Ramp and Railings; Create openings – Wall, Shaft, Dormer, Vertical, By face, Creating Topo surface, From Import Instance and Building pad.
Week 5 & 6
Week 5 : Adding rooms, Area plan, Creating schedules, Material Takeoffs, Creating color schemes, Legends, Adding tags, Placing components and Fixtures.
Week 6 : Adding dimensions, Linear, Aligned, Angular, Radical, Arc length, Spot elevation, Co-ordinate, Spot slope, Adding detailing, Detail lines, Region, Annotations, Component tags, Model text, Model line, model group, Apply materials, Split face and Paint.
Week 7 & 8
Week 7 : Edit families, Extrusion, Blend, Revolve, Sweep and Swept blend; Void forms – Extrusion, Blend, Revolve, Sweep and Swept blend; Create conceptual mass; Place mass- Apply floor , Roof and Wall by face.
Week 8 : Insert & Link Revit, Manage link, Insert CAD, Export IFC, Manage materials, object styles, snaps, Placing Lights (Interior & Exterior), Placing camera, Camera settings, sheet compositing and Modifying viewport.
